News: The Comic Book Art Institute

Yo!

It has been a busy couple of weeks here at Mat Nastos HQ!  On top of all of my other projects, the Comic Book Art Institute(wow!  is that a long name or what?!) has kicked into high gear.  The Comic Book Art Institute is going to be the first training school completely dedicated to comic book art and artists here on the west coast and I am tickled pink to be a part of it.  In addition to putting together the school’s curriculum and course syllabus (syllabi?), I’m working on finding teachers, doing marketing and everything else that goes along with founding a new institute of learning here in the greater Los Angeles area. 

I’ll be posting updates on here and over at www.NiftyComics.com as I have them and will be posting on the school’s website as well (http://www.ComicBookArtInstitute.com).  If you’re interested in becoming a comic book creator and don’t want to go to the East Coast, then definitely keep an eye out for the Comic Book Art Institute…it’s going to knock your socks off — creatively, that is!
